{ A Few Announcements } – Sequim WA Photographer

Wow is it already almost the end of November?  This fall has flown by!  I have a few bits of info for everybody.  Nothing life altering or drastic, just some important things to note.

First order of business….I will not be booking sessions from December 15th, through January 31.  So if you need photos before then, I have one or two openings left depending on how many people there are to photography.  I will still be booking for after January, so if you have a fun snow session you may want to do, now is a good time to book those dates, because they will fill up fast!

Second order of business, I have made a few changes to my pricing structure and added some new products.  I won’t go into all of the details, but it was all based on client feedback and I hope everybody will love the new way of doing things!  Basically I have gone to doing product credits for all of my packages, instead of specific products with each.  That way my clients can pick and choose exactly what they want, but still have the great discounted rate of a package!  Percentages of your session fee will also be applied towards product credits, starting in January.

Third, every once in a while I like to post a link to some very important information about custom photography.  I get a lot of inquiries and people questioning pricing and policies, and this site really helps to explain the ins and outs and value of custom photography.  It is a great resource!  I greatly encourage everybody to take a moment to read it.

I pride myself on offering not only the highest quality products that my industry has to offer, but also on my quality of work, expertise, and relationships with my clients.   My approach is very different than most photographers.  It is important to me that each client is happy and receives images that are truly reflective of who they are, not a cookie cutter style or imitation of somebody elses work.   Remember, in the digital age of photography, where it seems that everybody who has a DSLR is now claiming to be a photographer, you most definately get what you pay for.  Be sure that you are truly working with a professional who is legally running their business, displays the knowledge required, and will  provide you with the quality of work that you deserve!

With that being said, I have also made some policy changes regarding scheduling.  Obviously timing of sessions is greatly controlled by weather and lighting times, however starting in the new year, I will be booking less weekends and more weekdays.  That means weekends are going to fill up even faster than before.  I encourage all of my clients to book at least 4 weeks in advance, and during spring/fall busy seasons, even 6 weeks in advance.   Seniors for 2011, I highly reccommend booking your session for the summer before school starts!

And since it just feels wrong to post without an image…I leave you with a shot from the other day…I’ve been trying to do some shoots between all of the raindrops..hopefully tomorrow will allow me to finish this angels session!:)
